METHANA
Methana sits on a mushroom shaped peninsula on the sea route between the islands of Poros and Aegina in the Saronic Gulf. The Peninsula is dominated by a spectacular range of mountains dotted with rural villages nestling on the lower slopes and foothills. The main centre of activity is the attractive spa town of Methana with its seaport, coffee shops, tavernas and small marina.
Although the house is in need of renovation the interior has some traditional features worth restoring, for example, the fireplace, one front balcony, the built-in cupboards and an open "cathedral style" ceiling.

Building permission and renovation costs can be discussed with an affiliated Civil Engineer.

Communications:

There is a limited bus service that starts in Methana town visiting all the villages on the Peninsula. Connections to Athens via Piraeus (the port of Athens) are regular all year round.

The journey time by ferry boat is approximately 2.5 hours. There are local buses and taxis to Galatas, the mainland opposite the island of Poros. Journey time approximately 35 minutes.
